Ideathon – Green Agripreneurs of Future

Young Minds, Green Solutions: “Green Agripreneurs of Future” Ideathon Inspires Innovative Climate Action!

Within the scope of the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH project “Green Agripreneurs of Future (GAF),” coordinated by the Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education, an exciting Green Innovation Ideathon was successfully held. The event brought together creative students aged 9-14 to tackle real-world environmental challenges using entrepreneurial thinking.

From Theory to Action
After completing the theoretical modules on sustainable agriculture and eco-entrepreneurship via our e-learning platform, students formed teams to transform their knowledge into actionable solutions. The Ideathon aimed to foster critical thinking, teamwork, and green skills—key competencies for the next generation of climate leaders.

Innovative Ideas for a Sustainable Future
During the intense marathon, student teams worked collaboratively to develop prototypes and business models addressing local and global issues such as:

Water Scarcity: Smart irrigation systems powered by renewable energy.
Food Waste: Mobile apps connecting local farmers with consumers to reduce waste.
Urban Farming: Vertical gardening solutions designed for school balconies and urban apartments.
Zero Waste: Creative methods to turn agricultural biowaste into eco-friendly packaging.

The “Future Investors” Jury
At the end of the event, teams pitched their innovative ideas to a jury panel comprising teachers, agricultural experts, and project partners. The students demonstrated impressive presentation skills, explaining not only the environmental impact of their projects but also their feasibility and social value.

Impact and Results
The Ideathon proved that when empowered with the right tools and mentorship, young students can become active changemakers. The event sparked a wave of enthusiasm for green entrepreneurship across our partner schools in Türkiye, Poland, and North Macedonia. The winning ideas were awarded and will be featured as inspiring case studies on our project’s e-platform.
